Edda is a new unit introduced in Metal Slug Attack.
Character Summary[]
Edda is a swordswoman who swiftly wields swords as large as her body size. Seeking revenge on an unknown person, she joined the Rebel Army as a mercenary in exchange for information. Navy gives Edda the Aura Blade for offense.
Edda loves the thrill of fighting and gaining strength, coming to find easy confrontations (among large groups) boring. Her Aura Blade slowly changes color from green to a dark red to signify her increased destructiveness during battle.

Edda makes her first appearance in "United Front the 6th", where Morden hires her services after the previous volunteers were annihilated by a Golden Sand Marine. Edda quickly destroys the troublesome machine, though she is disappointed by the resistance offered by the Ptolemaic Army and the lack of information she received. She is paid by Morden for her services.
Morden decides to stay in contact with Edda after being impressed with her services during the United Front, and later hires her again to help Naomi with training a group of new recruits. Before visiting Naomi, Edda stops by Navy's lab and obtains several upgrades to the Aura Blade. Upon meeting with Naomi, Edda is surprised the instructor is training the recruits despite being attacked by Invaders but helps her and the recruits in driving them off.
Part of Edda's past is revealed when she was found and saved by Emma and her subsequent enlistment in the Rebel Army. When sword Invaders and strange shapeshifters begin attacking a Rebel facility, Edda is called in as the sword Invaders were interested in finding powerful opponents. Edda is accompanied by Emma as they find the Invaders, with her sheer strength and desire for battle easily overwhelming the sword Invaders.
