El Dorado is an Illusion

This article's name isn't actually the official subject's name, but will be used as a quick reference until SNK is kind enough to provide us the official name.

"El Dorado is an Illusion" (エル・ドラドハマボロシ, Eru Dorado wa Maboroshi) is the second mission of Metal Slug 6.

Mission Synopsis[]

At the dead of night, the heroes continue their elimination of the Rebels in the African wilderness. Not only do the Rebels got the support from the local villagers, but they also re-allied themselves with the Martians. The final stretch of Rebel bases leads to a bridge that leads nowhere in which the Iron Sentinel crashes on the heroes and drags them down the hill.

Once the Iron Sentinel slams onto a cliff, Morden and a couple of Mars People climb out of the tank and capture the heroes. Suddenly, aliens unknown to the Regular Army swoop in and eat the Mars People. Morden explains that the Rebels and Martians have been working to eliminate the new force by rescuing Rootmars from the ocean, but the Invaders arrived sooner than expected and started chaos. Begrudgingly, the Regular Army ally with their enemies once again.

Locations[]

Village: A wooden town over the river protected by the Hunters. Flying Killers jump from the river to bite. A UFO can be seen at the distance.
Forest: The final Rebel remnants found up the mountain. Mars People are fought alongside the Rebels.
Bridge: The road ends here. The Iron Sentinel is fought while sliding down the hill.

This mission marks the only appearance of Eaca-B in Metal Slug 6. An Eaca-B will appear as long as the player doesn't kill the Mars people.
