Endless Trial or the AI virtual combat mode is a gamemode in Metal Slug: Awakening.
Information[]
The player runs through a short mission with an end boss. Rewards are increased by adding gameplay modifiers of varying difficulty.
Challenge Rules[]
Visit Lucas in Town and choose a stage to challenge. You need to prepare your 3-Character squad for the battle. When all Characters are ready, the battle begins.
Unlocking Rules[]
Clear the current stage and hit a certain difficulty level challenge point target to unlock the next difficulty level. Once unlocked, you can't go back to the easier version.
Failure[]
You have 4 minutes to complete the challenge. If your entire team is defeated, it takes 5 seconds for the Characters to respawn. If your team fails to clear the stage by the end of the timer, you fail the challenge.
Rewards[]
Commanders are ranked by their best challenge record. Ranking rewards will be issued accordingly the following week when the mode resets.
Soldier Roles[]
Soldier Roles are random daily buffs that affects the player playstyle. each role possesses its own unique abilities, and the available roles refresh daily, which greatly influences your preparation for battles.

Difficulty Affixes[]
Having the right difficulty affixes is essential for embarking on new challenges. You need to combine the right affixes to achieve the desired difficulty. Also, be wary: yellow affixes generally increase the challenge's difficulty,
while purple affixes grant specific ability enhancements, aiding in your successful completion. For instance, Sail from the Sky enhances Characters' levitating abilities, making it easier to evade enemies' damage. Pairing this with the Extraordinary League role amplifies your damage. Furthermore, there's a correlation between different affixes. For example, the continuous HP drain effect of the Armor of Corruption can synergize well with the Assault Hail, which boosts Characters' RoF. When paired with the Assault Vanguard role, the overall performance will be stellar!
However, not all yellow affixes are negative. Choose your affixes wisely to ensure a smooth progression.
