Hellfire Bat King (摩罗遗训) is a mutated bat that has adapted at volcanic areas. and serves as a mid-boss in Metal Slug: Awakening.

4 meters in height and covered in lava. It inhabits the top parts of the lava cave, and hates human beings who come to disturb it. The Phantom Bat King, whose saliva is made of lava, had undergone a mutation: it not only spits fire balls, but could also cast out Martyr Slugs. Watch out above and beware of its spitting!
It likes to sleep more than any other bats of its kind. But as human beings frequent Kemut these days, it has to move deeper in the Earth, where it is quieter. During its migration, its resistance to heat grew, and before it realized, it didn't feel any heat even when it's burned as black as coal. Flapping its flaming wings, it had no choice but to console itself, thinking, "Well, I guess my wings makes for a good, warm blanket."
