The Huge Ivy are minor plant-based enemies found in Metal Slug 7/XX. It makes its first appearance in The Waterfall.

Information

A variant of the Man Eater, this mutated plant grows on the ceiling and awaits potential prey. It utilizes two tendrils to snatch the player on contact which then brings them into its maw, devouring them and costing a life; it can also achieve this by extending its jaws onto any unfortunate soldier directly beneath. Lastly, when threatened, it drops bouncing, explosive, seed bombs that detonate on contact.

Like the Man Eater, the Huge Ivy is part of the Independent Faction in Metal Slug Defense and Metal Slug Attack despite being Rebel Army experiments.

Variants

	Huge Ivy: The original variant. In Metal Slug Attack, this is known as the Dangling Huge Ivy and spawns from above tossing seed bombs.
	Huge Ivy (Grounded): First appears in Metal Slug Defense as a stationary ground unit placed by a Miner and is known in this game and Metal Slug Attack as simply the Huge Ivy. It only attacks with its seed bombs.
	Dangling Golden Ivy: A golden variant. They have mutated by absorbing the air emitted from an unknown golden substance. They are able to fire flaming seed bombs and spit fireworks. Appears in Metal Slug Attack.
