The Invader Infantry are the main enemy group of Metal Slug 6.

Information

The Invader Infantry are alien creatures from a far-away planet. Unlike the Martians, the Invaders have a larger biological spectrum ranging from natural to mechanical. Even the biological subspecies have bizarre autonomy that allows them to stretch and contort their bodies in unusual ways. The Invaders use their resilient bodies as a means of attack and can spit out dangerous fluids or creatures such as Maggots. Invaders are extremely predatory and don't hesitate to kill, control, or eat their enemies. Their favorite food are Mars People.

The Invader Infantry consist of creatures, the more evolved main Invader species, and Humanoids. Those on the latter group each have a unique constitution in their bodies that allow them to transform, attack with their bodies, or even control the surrounding temperature. They are capable of speaking Earth's language unlike the Martians who require a special translation device. Most Humanoids burst into flames and melt when defeated.

Types of Infantry

	Invaders: The most commonly encountered Invader strain. Able to breed maggots, which slowly home in on a target and explode. Sometimes they spin around or use their long arms to headbutt the player. Winged ones also fire plasma breath. The ones in final mission explode into a bunch of maggots after death.
	Winged Invaders: Invaders capable of natural flight. They attack by firing plasma from their mouths.
	Flying Parasite: Small octopus-like creatures with the ability to take control of another organism, latching onto the victim's head with its tentacles and turning them into a mindless slave with purple skin. Able to fly. When swooping down to take control a victim, it can also latch onto the player if they get in its way. Once it successfully does so, it will suck the player from the inside out until their clothes remain, unlike the NPCs which they control instead of killing.
	Controller: An advanced variant of the Flying Parasite, they can control a host from afar using a long umbilical cord attached to the victim's neck. It serves as a prelude to the last boss by taking over one of the characters that the player has not selected. The character varies, but each character has different habits.
	Hunter Walker: Fish-like anti-personnel creatures with four legs with a blue, oval-shaped body. They have a single cyclopean eye in the center of its body, scanning the area, just below their very large mouth. They are found in the last two missions. On the ground they spit spores three times in a row. However, the ones found in Hive occasionally are on the ceilings and drop eyeballs down at the player, regenerating their eyes at an unnatural rate.
	Smasher: One-eyed, red, crab-like creatures with four legs and a white chubby body. They spin their legs like helicopters when flying. When a target is below them, they inflate their body and plummet down in an attempt to smash them. Seen near hives.
	Space Mole Cricket: Gray-colored scorpion-like Invader breed. They dig with their forearms and become yellow to charge towards the enemy. In Metal Slug Attack, they are spawned by Great Nests to terraform conquered planets.
	Bloom's Flowers: A unnamed plant-like breed born from Bloom Metzelei that resembles the mutated Man Eater plants on earth.
	Man Eater Mimic: A plant-like breed related to Bloom Metzelei's children. It mimics a single flower for those who are unfortunate enough to have stumble it and be preyed upon.
	Invader Bees: A unnamed breed coming from Biene Goldenes that resemble bees from Earth.
	Bird Gladiators: A unnamed bird-human warrior hybrid subspecies who are loyal to Goldenes Krieger.
	Large Parasite Invaders: A unnamed breed that is unrelated to the regular Parasite strain. Capable of infesting armed military vehicles.
	Great Moth: A subspecies breed born from the Great Mother. It has the highest potential of becoming a Great Mother from having to survive the harsh environment of space.
	Parasitic Giant Escargot: A Invader subspecies breed that is a parasitic fusion of a Giant Big Snail.
	Sword EX: A sword-shaped, mechanical, subspecies breed that is related to Swordeist.
	"Chomper Walker": Strange bioweapons that are born when fused with abandoned weapons on Earth.
