The Invaders species are the most common enemy group of the Invaders Army. They debut in Metal Slug 6.
Information[]
These anthropomorphic, toad-like alien, creatures have features of insectoids such as a rock-hard exoskeleton, that protects them from damage. They are carnivorous creatures, feeding on both humans and Mars People. Invaders are able to fly naturally or by the use of an Invader UFO.
They attack by extending their limbs to grab their prey from afar, or slamming them first with a spinning headbutt. They can spin their bodies at high speeds, then bounce to smash their foes, while also being able to deflect most attacks by doing this.
An interesting feature they have is that they can breed Maggots or other subspecies of Invaders of parasitic nature and spit them out.

Invaders: The most commonly encountered Invader strain. Able to breed maggots, which slowly home in on a target and explode. Sometimes they spin around or use their long arms to headbutt the player. Winged ones also fire plasma breath. The ones in final mission explode into a bunch of maggots after death. Gray in color. |

Ravenous Invaders: Pink strain of commanding drones. Once they appear, they begin to spin around, and then bounce around the field, only affected by walls. They sustain more damage and produce a bunch of larvae after death. Winged ones can spit out up to eight unguided plasma blasts. |

Elite Invaders: Tan-Peach colored Elite Winged Invaders, they can spit out three unguided plasma blasts. Like most elite variants they only appear in the air segment of Mission 4. |

Lizard Invaders: The most Elite Invader strain. They throw waved plasma projectiles from their bodies. |

Trivia[]
- A concept artwork for the Invaders have them use their arms to grapple the player and eat them in a similar manner to the Man Eaters. They don't use this attack in-game in favor of simply headbutting them.
- In Metal Slug Attack, the Invaders and its variants are known as "Venusians" in the game's files.
