The Jellyfishes are minor aquatic enemies from Metal Slug.
Information[]
These jellyfishes live deep underwater, where they serve as prey for other sea creatures. However, they are able to store electricity inside their gelatinous bodies, and release whenever they sense danger. Some species are able to multiply themselves when killed. They are likely mutated to abnormal sizes due to the nuclear experimentation in Pallas Island.

These jellyfish swim in large groups, and they discharge electricity when the player shoots them, but they can be easily avoided after the discharge. |
Sky Jellyfish: Jellyfish that have adapted to live in the skies. They attack enemies by sending out electrical discharges and spewing smaller spawns to engulf enemies with.
Rain Jellyfish: Another jellyfish variant that has adapted to live in the skies. They attack enemies by spraying acidic water on top of them, which saps their strength and prevents them from using special attacks. They are also very durable and can reform themselves after being killed.
Slim: A jellyfish that serves as Philia's companion. She tends to use it as an umbrella when navigating the battlefield. It uses its tentacles to attack enemies and can discharge poisonous shots. |
Trivia[]
- Despite the Metal Slug jellyfishes using electricity to stun their prey, real life jellyfishes actually use venom instead.
