Kiss in the Dark

Kiss in the Dark is the fifth mission of Metal Slug 2/X.

Mission Synopsis[]

Hearing intel about hidden Rebel activity in New Godokin City, the heroes drop in to scour and eliminate the force. Unbeknownst to them, a third faction is looming by. However, in Metal Slug X, they're foreshadowed earlier in previous missions.

The Rebel Army becomes aggressive at this point with soldiers showing up nonstop on both sides. Also, a majority of POWs are hidden in the background.

Locations[]

Downtown New Godokin City: Urban area with multiple vehicles to walk over or shoot for items and food. Some items are so high up it requires riding on the car's explosion to reach it. In Metal Slug X, an SV-001 is inside one of the trucks.
Subway Tunnel: A section of the subway tracks. The Rebel Army uses multiple Subways (one at pillar #4 and three at pillar #1) to crush the heroes against the left side. In Metal Slug X, Karn is fought at pillar #2.
Mutant Sewers: A hidden site of a failed experiment, with the mutants going haywire. The Hozmi is fought after climbing up the stairs. An SV-001 (MS2) or Slugnoid (MSX) is found by pulling a Crank.
