The MV-280A is a multi-purpose support vehicle of the Rebel Army.

Information

The MV-280A was originally designed to evacuate and transport soldiers from combat faster and with greater efficiency. In some instances, they also used to transport weapons and ammunition for light artillery and infantry purposes. Due to its four-wheel drive, the MV-280A has extreme mobility, even in harsh environment such as desert.

When Rebel engineers observed the efficiency of the speed of the MV-280A, they decided make new models to support tanks. The MV-280B is a variant of the MV-280A with a rocket launcher mounted on its roof, and the MV-280C is armed with a machine gun on its hood.

Variants

	MV-280A: The original version. It appears only in Mission 4 of Metal Slug 2, after the player destroys the rocket launchers of the first MV-280B.
	MV-280B: A variant of the MV-280A equipped with twin rocket launchers on the roof mount.
	MV-280C: A variant of the MV-280A equipped with a machine gun on its hood. It appears in Metal Slug 6 and Metal Slug 7/Metal Slug XX.

Trivia

• All MV-280 variants are apparently based on the Toyota Land Cruiser J55, with the front fascia taken from the UAZ-469.
• Julia from Metal Slug Attack drives an open top MV-280A as her personal vehicle. Immortal Allen from the same game drives a similar vehicle with a black coloration.
