The Mars Wolf is a single-pilot Martian war machine introduced in Metal Slug Attack. While it first debuted with Pauline, a name was not given for it until "Burning Diamond".

In the boss' stage, the mech walks slowly towards the player's base. It fires a flurry of energy shots as a standard attack, with its special attack consisting of firing two concentrated balls of plasma at specific enemy spots before crashing and exploding in a large radius.
The Mars Wolf is equipped with a barrier that reduces damage from all attacks and also retaliates against stun attacks.

| Pauline's Mech: A humanoid version of the Mars Wolf used by Pauline. It's primary form of combat is to fire a laser from its chest "eye". It is also capable of crouching into a similar position like the Mars Wolf to fire lasers at enemies. While lacking the barrier capabilities of its originals, it makes up for it with the ability to dodge incoming attacks. | |
| Mars Fenrir: A customized variant of the original, sporting blue and white colors. While retaining many of the original's properties, the Fenrir model is more durable and the special attack modified to fire two energy balls that track various targets and dump blasts of smaller energy on them. Due to its improved capabilities, it is operated by elite Martians. It is named after Fenrir, a wolf in Norse mythology who was the child of Loki and Angrboda along with Hel and Jörmungandr. |
