Mecha Allen also known as Steel Allen is a robotic copy of Allen O'Neil that serves as the penultimate boss of Metal Slug 4.
Information[]
Like the Morden Robot, it was created by the Amadeus Syndicate to fool the Regular Army into believing that the Rebel Army's higher-ups were taking direct part of the White Baby Crisis by pitting them against the "Immortal Devil Sergeant" himself.
Mecha Allen is a perfect robotic copy of Allen O'Neil nailing both appearance and combat abilities. It can be easily mistaken for the real one due to the real Allen always cheating death and coming back to challenge the Regular Army commandos for another fight. Visually, the only difference is that Mecha Allen uses blue bullets instead of the standard orange.
Mecha Allen first appeared operating the Toschka Dalanue in Mission 2 and is once again thought to be defeated after the tower is destroyed. During the final mission, Mecha Allen is encountered again in a factory guarding the entrance to the Amadeus Mother Computer. Mecha Allen eventually sustains enough damage that its artificial skin gets damaged and is revealed to the heroes to be a fake robot.
Boss Synopsis[]
The fight with Mecha Allen is similar to the Allen O'Neil fight in boss patterns and arena layout. The only difference is that its melee attack does not kill the player; instead, the player is knocked a great distance and loses their weapons. After enough damage has been dealt, Mecha Allen revives itself and gets more aggressive. When Mecha Allen is completely destroyed, the dropped M60 can be picked up and used as a Heavy Machine Gun.
In Other Games[]
Metal Slug Attack[]
Mecha Allen appears as a playable unit for the Independent Army, including new variants created by the Amadeus Syndicate. Unlike Metal Slug 4, Mecha Allen is always in its robotic state. It also operates an Amadeus variant of the Hairbuster Riberts.
In Another Story, Allen O'Neil and Abigail encountered multiple Mecha Allens being controlled by White Baby. Most of them are fend off by Allen.
Metal Slug: Awakening[]
Mecha Allen returns as a recurring boss for the Rebel Army and is referred as Steel Allen. unlike past games where it is a separate entity to Allen. it's likely that they are both the same character, even Marco referred to them as Allen.
