Melk is a character introduced in Metal Slug Attack.
Character Summary[]
A scientist of the Amadeus Syndicate, Melk proclaims herself as a mad scientist. She developed a special type of slime bacteria on her favorite flat cap, naming it "Ratte" and loves it as it developed an ego. Ratte only speaks in "Kyuuu" (acknowleding Melk as "Melkyuuu"). Despite its unassuming and lovable appearance, Ratte serves as Melk's primary method of combat, using its mass to create tentacles to attack with. If Melk becomes harmed, Ratte becomes enraged and assumes a more sinister form.

First appearing in "Runaway Bacteria", Melk spends time with Ratte eating ice cream when the Martians attack the facility. She goes off to fight them in the hopes of meeting the Professor, but is quickly knocked out cold by their newly developed weapons. Seeing its host harmed, Ratte becomes enraged and destroys all of the weapons itself, much to Type:Dragonfly's surprise. Dragonfly then takes Melk back to the infirmary where she regains consciousness. She wonders what happened to the Martian weapons, but Dragonfly claims that she worked with Ratte to destroy them.
