Missions

Mission Mode in Metal Slug Defense serves as a collection of puzzles, and somewhat as a showcase for units the player may not've obtained yet. Each stage offers a pre-selected deck with which to overcome a specific challenge. The stage difficulties vary from "trivial" to "diabolical" - some later levels require a very careful order of play in order to succeed.

Player / unit levels are also pre-set for each mission; power-ups gathered in other gameplay modes do not apply here.

Most stages cost 20 to play, and offer a 5,000 reward. Every fifth stage cleared for the first time grants 15 .

Relief Supplies

Many missions start off with one or more Relief Supplies applied for free. Unlike in other game modes, additional supplies cannot be activated mid-mission.

	AP Max	AP production speed starts out maxed.
	Mobile Satellite	Mission starts with a lightning-throwing satellite to aid your units.
	Fever Time	For the first 60 seconds of battle, unit production cooldowns are ignored.
	Attack Fever	For the first 20 seconds of battle, special attack cooldowns are ignored.
	Jamming	For the first 20 seconds of battle, enemies cannot move nor attack.
	Super Metal Slug Attack	A golden Metal Slug will steam-roll enemy forces upon mission start.
