One Fell Stroke

One Fell Stroke is the twenty-second mission of Metal Slug: 2nd Mission. Only Red Eye has access to this stage.

Mission Synopsis[]

After capturing Col. Tender, Red Eye is given info about a fuel factory that is the source for the Rebel Rocket and is ordered to destroy it. Red Eye uses the Slug Flyer to traverse through a valley. Destruction of the Slug Flyer at any point ends the mission prematurely and is considered Incomplete. Unlike Gimlet's mission (Deadly Assault), Red Eye starts from the right half of the area rather than from the left.

The source of the fuel is a cylinder that slowly descends underground. The hatch over the source that leads to the goal will not open if the source is not destroyed, resulting in an immediate crash of the Slug Flyer.

	Data received. It looks like a refinery…
	It appears fuel’s being sent to the Secret Rebel Base. What’s it for…... Ah hah!... A rocket! Oops! Back to alien theory! I’m losing it! Hmph….
	Red Eye! Red Eye!! Do you copy? IHQ has revised your mission. Do you copy? Bomb the refinery! Use the Slug Flyer in your attack.
	I, I copy! Data downloaded. I need to fire a missile in the air vent, right? It’s a one in a million shot. I gotta concentrate! Away I go!
