Saya is a playable character introduced in Metal Slug: Awakening.
Character Summary[]
"I smell you! A shark never let's go of it's prey!"[1]
Abandoned in the desolate town of Far Harbor, Saya grew up without anyone. She fought her way out of the wastelands, earning the title "Wasteland Megalodon", but she despises bullies and those who prey on the weak.
Saya always dreamt of leaving Far Harbor, but upon departing she realized there was no place for someone like her elsewhere. She absconded with vast riches from her former bandit crew; now, Far Harbor, meet your boss!
Story[]
Eva's Dangerous Holiday[]
As both Bucara, Haran and Eva discovered a Underwater Rebel Army factory which was painted in a bio-wave absorbing paint which was remained hidden. they found a confidential secret room which contain the source of overflowing X energy only to discovered that the Water Goddess they are looking for is an AI created by the Rebel Army called Silverwing Series 0001 "White Angel" also referred to as Silverwing-Saya who was program to think she lives in a crime ridden city and part of the Silverwing Series but in truth her purpose was to serve the Rebel Army only to develop self-awareness and have gone rouge. her attempt of escape from the network got cut short however thanks to Eva's Party for rebooting her, she requested to be taken by them so she can let the world hear the Silver Wing's voice. Bucara decided to hold her terminal that shows her projection.
After They drove of the Rebel Army away of Blue Dawn Island, it's been revealed she was created long before the Rebel Army settled on the island and has previous records that the beach was once an early fishing dock before it become a Garbage Island. She thanks Fisherwoman-Scarlett for saving her in the past-ten years and their efforts of saving the island. to Scarlett's revelation she still questions if miracles exist however to Saya's reply, it is humans that can make miracles happened and in matter of time Blue Dawn island can still be restored back.

Shockwave Gun[]
Stage 1: Saya fires a Shark Ball in the aiming direction that expands into a turret on hit or upon reaching the longest distance, dealing DMG equal to 120% of ATK. The Shark Turret will continuously deal DMG to nearby enemies while reducing their MSPD and DEF and causing the DMG they receive to increase by 20%.
Stage 2: Saya calls back the Shark Turret.
- Passive 1: When using a skill, Saya will gain a shield equal to 15% of Max HP. The shield can be inherited by other members in the lineup.
- Passive 2: When the Character on the field deals CRIT DMG to a target, the Shark Turret fires an additional shot at the enemies nearby and deal damage equal to 30% of ATK.
Wrathful Shark[]
Saya summons a huge Shark Battleship after brief channeling. The battleship will continuously throw shells to attack nearby enemies, dealing DMG equal to 30% of ATK with each hit. At the end of its duration, the battleship will dash to the enemy in its front and deal AoE DMG equal to 600% of ATK.
The entire team gain additional 20% ATK with the battleship on the field.
- Passive: When Saya is deployed, the team members will deal 3% more Weapon DMG to a debuffed target with every debuff on the target. Every 10% of Saya's Debuff DMG Bonus will increase this Weapon DMG bonus on debuffed targets by 0.15%.

WEAK Breaker[]
- When Saya successfully inflicts any Debuffs, the entire Squad gains 15% PEN for 10s.
- For every 5% CRIT Rate, the duration of the PEN bonus is extended by 0.25s.
Debuff Buster[]
When Saya is deployed, the team members will deal 3% more Weapon DMG to a debuffed target with every debuff on the target. Every 5% of Saya's Debuff DMG Bonus will increase this Weapon DMG bonus on debuffed targets by 0.15%.
Large Battleship[]
With the Shark Battleship on the field, all nearby teammates and summons gain 35% CRIT DMG.
Trivia[]
- Her appearance somewhat ressembles the one of Jinx from League of Legends.
- Although Silverwing-Saya uses Saya's Silverwing Angel Skin. she is a different NPC character unrelated to the real Saya.
