Show Spirit

This article's name isn't actually the official subject's name, but will be used as a quick reference until SNK is kind enough to provide us the official name.

"Show Spirit" is the second mission of Metal Slug 4.

Mission Synopsis[]

The heroes are dropped off in what is presumably Gerhardt City to dispatch the Rebel Army at the state border. The fortified station stretches out to Ridge 256 requiring a lengthy drive between locations. After reaching a bridge, Allen O'Neil makes his surprise appearance with the Toschka Dalanue.

Locations[]

Gerhardt City Border: A simple run-and-gun dealing with destroying various barricades. The Bradley and Metal Claw (the latter only in 2-player) are found here.
Outskirts: Riding on top of a Landseek, the heroes deal with various Rebel aircraft and Parachute Rebels who get in the way. Unlike in Mission 1, this autoscroller is unskippable, and the player cannot control the Landseek.
Ridge 256: This section is a mishmash of Mission 2, Mission 4, and the Final Mission from Metal Slug. The SV-001 is found before the incline. Along the way, the player comes across a man smoking a pipe until he is easily scared off by the Rebels.

Prisoner Locations[]

There are 7 POWs in this mission. "Great!" Bonus is impossible in single-player.

Trivia[]

Once the mission begins, go back inside the RA-TTT for 5,000 pts.
Two Girida-Os in the beginning of the third section drive from the background with unique frontal sprites. This is the only mission in the whole series where these sprites are used.
