Treasure Dig is the main Gacha system of Metal Slug: Awakening.
Information[]
The mysterious mine discovered by Schiedel in 1995 seems to contain power of a hidden civilization - powerful firearms and precious materials that are rarely seen in the world. Dig them up before they become fossils!
The player uses Golden Pickaxes to roll a banner. One can obtain Golden Pickaxes freely in the game by clearing boss missions at World Adventure, from daily missions, and from event rewards. Pickaxes can also be bought with 168 Sapphires each; if the player comes short then Rubies are used to cover the cost. Sapphire Pickaxes can only be bought with Sapphires while Ruby Pickaxes can only be obtained weekly in Weekly Missions or be purchased using Rubies.
All banners keep their own number of attempts for the next banner round of the same type. For example, if the player made 35 Treasure Digs on a Limited Special, then those are transferred over for the next Limited Special.
Weapon Dig[]
The non-limited banner to obtain weapon and weapon fragments in order to Star Up weapons in the game. For every:
- 10 Treasure Digs: guarantees an Excellent or better weapon.
- 30 Treasure Digs: guarantees a Rare or better weapon.
- 90 Treasure Digs: guarantees an Epic or better weapon.
- Obtained 3 Epic weapons: a Legendary weapon will be guaranteed for the next Treasure Dig.
Character Dig[]
The non-limited banner in order to obtain characters and character tokens for promotion. For every 60 Treasure Digs, the player is guaranteed a Rare Character (currently only Lyla, Scarlett, and Trevor). Weapons can be earned here, but they are limited to an Excellent quality.
Limited Special[]
These are banners for Rare Characters; it can only be rolled using Sapphire Pickaxes. The first 30 Treasure Digs has a 50/50 chance to pull the banner character, the second time it requires 60 Treasure Digs. If it is a returning character, then the guarantee is limited to 60 Treasure Digs.
Weapon Special[]
Occasionally, the player is given a chance to pick a Legendary Weapon banner to roll. It requires Ruby Pickaxes.
Treasure Dig Bonus[]
The player is given bonus rewards if they roll on Limited Banners multiple times. Such rewards include Legendary Weapon Fragments, Mythic Gun Fragments, Fragment Random Packs and Limited Character Fragments. Vehicle Licenses can only be obtained in Character Dig Treasure Bonus.
Piggy Bank[]
During some events, the player earns loyalty rewards through Treasure Dig. Each Treasure Dig has a chance to yield Lucky Hammers. These are used to redeem rewards; every two Lucky Hammers are needed to participate in the Tycoon Selection. The player is eligible for a chance to become the Tycoon after acquiring the required number of Lucky Hammers. During the tenure, the Tycoon will receive dividends from every Treasure Dig from players on their server.
